As a self-proclaimed lash lover, I was very intrigued by the lash looks this season - especially by the clumpy spider lashes that cropped up in a few of the shows! The Cushnie et Ochs (left) and Dior (right) shows sported models with this intense lash look, and I support it 100%. I love that it feels like a fusion somewhere between a doe-eyed Parisian girl and a gorgeously gaudy version of Twiggy from the 1960’s. Worth a try for sure!
3. Color blocked lids
And we all thought color blocking was over! The color blocking trend has been reincarnated as a more subdued makeup trend, and I’m kind of digging it! The Missoni (left) and Byblos (right) shows displayed some pretty bold lids this fashion week season. Just a thick swipe of neon color across the lids is all it takes for this look, everything else can stay fairly minimal of course!
4. Brushed-up brows
While this is a reoccurring trend, the Tanya Taylor show did the brushed-up eyebrow look effortlessly. I think effortlessness is key when it comes to this beauty technique. While blatantly brushed-up brows make a bigger statement, subtly makes for a more wearable look! Plus, perfectly sculpted brows take a lot more time to achieve in the morning!
5. Jeweled Eyes
Being blinged out has never looked so good! A few shows were rocking the jewel encrusted eye look this season including Dries Van Noten (left) and Jeremy Scott (right). Adding some sparkle to a beauty routine has been done many times before, but for true stand-out style, adhesive jewels are the way to go! If you have the kahunas to make this a casual, everyday look, more power to you, but I think this look is especially wearable for music festival season, or a fun night out!
