Everything You Need for Pride 2020

What’s the most colorful, lively event of the year? No, not the Fourth of July. Not a Lady Gaga concert ... it’s NYC Pride! Each year, Pride events commemorate the Stonewall Riots of 1969 and the beginning of the modern Gay Rights movement. It’s celebrated in many capacities across the world, but there’s nothing like the NYC Pride Parade and the events that surround it! This year, we might not be able to celebrate Pride the way we normally have, but hey, it’s good to shake things up every now and then, right? Check out these events you can still partake in to show and support your pride!

Monday, June 22 - Thursday, June 25
Savor Pride

In partnership with God’s Love We Deliver, NYC Pride will stream cooking events to its social channels until Thursday this week. Each night, the event will be hosted by comedic YouTuber Kalen Allen and will feature chefs Amanda Freitag, Kate Pelayo, Renee Blackman, Mavis-Jay Sanders, and Sicily Sierra.

Human Rights Conference

Pride’s Human Rights Conference is a global dialogue between activists, artists, educators, journalists, policymakers, students, and others engaged in LGBTQIA+ human rights. There will be several panels to listen in on including Be The Change: Driving Intersectional Equality and Inclusion, Anti-trans Violence and the Role of Guns, How Employee Resource Groups Contribute to Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Effort, and State of the Media led by Raquel Willis. It’s basically a LGBTQIA+ TED Talk on steroids…you already know I’m in!
